SPECT'ACTORS IN SOUTHAMPTON
2016
Artist Residency
Results of two months of research work during an artist residency in Southampton as part of the European Trans National Creative Exchange program. Ten international artists have brought to life a final exhibition which will be installed in their respective countries: the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, and China.

Here and now
You are the explorer.
Follow my path and become the spect'actor.
To discover a new place, walk in an unknown environment, meet new faces, and feel new experiences… Come and discover my journey for yourself. Walk along the frescoes and follow my path; move around the lights where rays of light project images like a voice telling a story, and use the flipbooks to see life in static places.
In this installation, there are three ways to tell a story, where you can be a witness or become an actor to “read” the story. You become a spect'actor.
# Walking in Southampton
I walk and capture what I see on a mural that is completed as I move. To reread my journey, guests must move around the room.

# Freeze the passage
I re-enact movements that I captured while remaining still, observing. Visitors can speed up, stop, or even reverse the movement of the people they are observing.

# A light path
Finally, the light fixtures project onto the walls the routes I have taken. They tell this story, and you will have to walk around them to retrace my journey.

# Pass it on - the exhibition
